Applications:
Graphite mould for nonferrous metals’ continuous and semi-continuous casting
Graphite mould is well acknowledged as the suitable material and world-widely used for all kinds of sectional bars manufacture from continuous (or semi continuous) molten metal state to produce the copper, copper alloy, aluminum, aluminum alloy and other casting products
Pressure casting mould
Graphite has been successfully used in non-ferrous metals’ pressure casting. For example, the pressurized castings such as zinc alloy, copper alloy and so on which are produced by graphite pressure casting mould have been widely used in the automobile parts.
Graphite mould for centrifugal casting
Graphite mould has also been successfully adopted in centrifugal casting production. For example, graphite mould with more than 25mm thickness wall is used to centrifugally cast a bronze sleeve. It can take anti-oxidation measures to prevent the graphite mould burning. After casting a certain number of castings, it can also modify the graphite mould inner cavity size in case of found surface burn inside the graphite mould and it can cast the bigger size sleeves after modification.

Features:
Because of its features such as high thermal conductivity (the thermal conductivity determines the metal or alloy’s solidification rate), excellent self-lubricating performance and so on, the graphite mould not only improves the casting speed, but also produces the castings with accurate size, smooth surface, even crystal structure which can be directly processed further. This not only greatly improves the rate of finished products and reduces the loss on defective products, but also greatly improves the product quality.
The graphite parts used for hard alloy pressurized sintering have the following characteristics: firstly, if the pressing temperature increases to 1350-1450℃, the required unit pressure can be reduced to 67-100kgf/cm2 (that is 1/10 of the cold pressing pressure); secondly, pressing and heating are carried out in the same process, and the compact sintered body will be acquired by a short sintering.
It can produce the transistor’s sintering mould and bracket by using the artificial graphite material’s tiny thermal deformation. This kind of graphite material has become an indispensable material for developing semiconductor industry. In addition, graphite mould has also been used for cast iron mould, various non-ferrous metals’ durability mould, cast steel mould, heat-resistant metals’ mould (titanium, zirconium, molybdenum, etc.), aluminum hot welding mould for welding steel rail and so on.
