Graphite Anode Plate

Graphite anodes are graphite sheets, blocks or rods used as anodes for electrolytic cells in the electrolysis industry. There are two types of electrolysis processes using graphite anodes, one is aqueous solution electrolysis and the other is molten salt electrolysis. The chlor-alkali industry that produces electrolyzed brine solutions to produce caustic soda and chlorine is the largest user of graphite anodes.

Graphite Anode Processing steps:

by calcination, compounding, kneading, pressing, roasting, dipping, graphitization, machining

Characteristics of anode materials for electrolysis:

1. It should have good electronic conductivity. When a large current passes through, the voltage drop loss on the anode plate should be small;

2. The contact area with electric body fluid should be large and the contact resistance should be small;

3. It has enough resistance to the erosion of H2SO4, and it should be resistant to the anodizing in the electrolyte;

4. The ingredients should be stable and the cost should not be too high.

ADVANTAGE

1. Low electric resistance
2. Good electric and thermal conductivity
3. High oxidation resistance
4. Greater resistance to thermal and mechanical shock
5. High mechanical strength
6. High machining accuracy and so on.
